Such an incredible experience. It was such an honour to contribute to an amazing project and meet some inspiring people. The vibe was so connective, chilled and warm. Madhura, Liz and Andre are very welcoming and kind.

Ben and Abi were fabulous workawayers. It was a absolute pleasure to share our home with them. They were hard working and good natured, with a happy and positive attitude, ready to do anything that was asked of them. The help they gave got me through a very busy period of work, I'm very grateful they were so self-motivated. My pantry and drawers have never looked so organised! We enjoyed good chats and sharing about each other's countries. And also enjoyed listening to Ben's music and Abi's singing! All the best for the rest of your travels guys!

I was the 805th guest. I helped collect cow poo for fires, cooked traditional Mongolian dishes, and got to taste lots of different dairy products. Bee and Soy are eager to share about Mongolian culture and ettiquette in the Ger. Thank you Bee and Soy for hosting me.

Rodney was the perfect host. From the moment I arrived, he made me feel like part of the household. He was incredibly polite, welcoming, and always included me in everything. During my stay, he showed me around, took me surfing, and introduced me to his friends and housemate. Everyone was super nice, and it was great getting to know them. I stayed for about two weeks, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. The tasks were very easy, and Rodney only expected a little bit of garden work. However, because he was so kind and generous, I felt like I wanted to give something back. That’s why I also helped with some cleaning around the house. The house itself is beautiful, and I truly loved staying there. To top it all off, Rodney even picked me up when I arrived and drove me to the bus station when I left. Thank you so much for everything, Rodney. I had a wonderful time and will always remember my stay fondly.

Absolutely meaningful connections with souls living and helping there during our stay💛 That was our first Workaway experience together as a couple and we must say it was truly something lovely to experience. Ellen, Anton, Noah, Steven, Hippollyte and Jana were all such sweethearts and it was a pleasure to work and get to know every one of them. Work was always so pleasant as both Anton and Ellen always made sure you are comfortable with what you are doing and truly always took their time to explain everything, so you always felt like you can do anything even if it seems challenging. We felt like a part of the family since they so generosity took us under their wings. We met some of their friends that are all lovely individuals and spent great time connecting with them. So grateful that we could prolonged our stay and got to experience a Huskonsertene, that was a blast, uau! The kitchen was something we loved! Since it was so big and had every kitchen supply you could imagine we could easily cook, bake and prepare anything our hearts desired. As we both love to cook, it was the place that left a special mark on our hearts and bellies🤭. Around the farm is such rural landscape where you can easily get lost in exploring, following footprints and appreciating views on fjord and city. Chickens and especially goats were much needed joy and laughter that warmed your soul during winter cold and blowing winds. When snow falls there is a fairytale painting imagine of a land. Hope the birdfeeder still stands and your new furry, fluffy friend made some pawsteps outside since it is a little warmer now🐾🌸 Thank you for being you and let us in.

María fue una voluntaria extraordinaria. Desde su llegada se integró rápidamente al equipo, destacando por su actitud jovial, alegre y entusiasta. Siempre motivó a los niños y a quienes la rodeaban, aportando energía positiva y muchas ganas de colaborar. Su compromiso, dedicación y gran corazón fueron más allá de sus labores como voluntaria, llegando incluso a apadrinar a uno de nuestros niños, demostrando un vínculo genuino con nuestra comunidad. Amber was a great addition to our supported accommodation and brought a consistently positive attitude. They were especially good at motivating residents through practical tasks and physical activities, helping people feel included, capable, and more confident in themselves. They were reliable, respectful, and an asset to the community. I’d happily recommend them to any host or employer looking for someone kind, proactive, and helpful.

Spent a little under 2 months here, from start of spring to midsummer and it was a very unique experience. Even though communication is sometimes a bit sporadic as they often have busy periods due to their personal lives, they are extremely generous, helpful and overall good people adding the fact that they provide an experience such as this is insanely cool. I spent my time here mostly alone so would recommend a bit of a prepared DIY mindset and / or a partner, but if you're in a pinch and communicate that, Sky, Sinéad (and their other connections around (Shoutout to Tåge and Maria)) will defenitely arrange what they can to help! Would wholeheartedly recommend that you help these people to give some love back to this place!

What impressed us most about Matisse was his willingness to step well outside his comfort zone. Travelling solo through Scandinavia and actively seeking out remote, off-grid experiences takes courage, and he's genuinely curious about different ways of living and learning by doing. Our island 🏝️ is not a typical Workaway placement. Matisse spent six weeks there on his own, rowing a boat to get back and forth and dealing with the realities of a very remote, self-sufficient lifestyle. He embraced it with a positive attitude, determination, and a real willingness to make the most of the experience 💪💪💪 His stay also came with a few unexpected challenges! There was a water leak that needed immediate attention, followed by a toilet breakdown. He handled everything calmly and practically, which we really appreciated, especially as we were supporting things remotely. Once things settled down, he built a temporary outdoor storage shed, helped cut down trees, cleared overgrowth, and got stuck into whatever needed doing. His work made a genuine difference to the island, and we were very grateful for the effort and care he put into the projects. He worked independently, asked good questions, and saw things through. We also enjoyed having him stay with us for a night in Stockholm before heading out to the island. He's easy to talk to, thoughtful, and genuinely interested in people and different ways of life. Matisse was a pleasure to host. We're grateful that he chose to spend part of his Scandinavian adventure with us and for the contribution he made during his stay. He's adventurous, hardworking, and resilient when things don't go to plan. We wish him all the best on his travels and hope he finds that future off-grid cabin 🛖one day. Oops i thought I wrote this feedback already! Clara was our first workawayer and she did not dissapoint! We had such a great time having her here, she was confident and competent and up for any job or challenge we threw at her. she even learned how to process the bamboo shoots we had coming up and weve been eating bamboo pickles ever since! thanks for everything Clara and I hope youre having an amazing time on your Australian adventure !

The 2 weeks spent with Jacob have been really enjoyable and he is an overall great companion, with lots of stories and a genuine interest for all kinds of things, from global political issues to small chitchat with neighbors. Also he comes with lots of experience in construcion (or destruction in my case as I needed to tear down a derelict shed !!), he is handy and hard-working. He speaks really good french, basic spanish and we enjoyed switching back and forth btw Eng and Fren. He is a very funny guy and very entertaning as well, lots of good fun with Jacob ! Jacob, thanks again for visiting and the good time spent with our small community here !! Glad you are now a certified Najac hitch-hiker ;-)

Amazing helpers and super cool people! We loved having Maike and Daniel as part of our family. They were awesome workers and great with the animals and the kids. Super motivated and great energy.

We had a great time with Linn and Nour!! And they are excellent cooks; we enjoyed their vegan meals sooooo much <3 They did a lot around the house and helping out with preparations for a barn renovation. And we planted some 50 oak trees together; they all survived and are all growing now :D We hope they will visit us again some time <3
