The experience of volunteering with Dionny and Alan was truly wonderful. We have met so many interesting people, because at the time we were there, there were fifteen volunteers staying together.. Dionny is a genuinely kind, funny, and incredibly energetic woman. Her food is excellent. Alan helped us immensely. He has a very fascinating life story, and listening to his travel experiences in the evenings was a delightful experience for me. Observing the life on a Peruvian farm was very inspiring, and we were grateful to be part of this environment. The surroundings are breathtaking — beautiful nature, mountains, and peaceful silence.

It was a delight to host Rahel. She is an amazingly capable woman with a pleasant, easy-going personality. She blended comfortably with us and our children and grandchildren. She is a person of many skills and great focus able to turn her hand to any job from clearing weeds to cutting metal with an angle grinder. From painting a shed to cleaning the house or cooking dinner. And then in the afternoon she might decide to make delicious bread or cinnamon buns mmmmm. Or darn her socks or do some wood whittling. What a woman! Rahel is a very interesting person who has chosen to truly embrace life . We really enjoyed hearing about her work in the milling business and her upbringing in the Swiss countryside and her great love of Swiss traditions. Now I know about Swiss wrestling festivals! She drove to Ireland via the north of Germany and took time to get to know the country while she was here. Then she travelled home via Wales and England to further her adventures .We all missed her when she left and were really happy with the improvements she brought to our house a garden. Thank you Rahel and good wishes for your further adventures in life

Chiara and Calleigh are the nicest guests and volunteers! :) I hosted them for a week in March during their sping brek, and even if it was such a short time they still were of good help, and we still managed to have a good time. It was their first workway experience, and even tho they didn't have much experience they were very enthusiastic and happy about the work. They helped me cleraing out some parts of the garden from brambles and young trees and doing some weeding. I totally recommend the both of them to any host for their next workaway adventure :) And I also hope they could be coming around here some time again! All the best girls, and see you soon!

For many years, Zighe has dexicated her time and energy to educating children in the neighborhood. Because of Zighe and the association many children go to school and have a meal every day. I am very grateful to Zighe for welcome me in such a friendly and warm way. I felt surrounded and protected by her by the coaches and all the children during my two-month stay. Despite limited ressources, but with a lot of energy , smile, love and kindess the foundation and their team dédicace their life to improving the lives of young people, paving the way for future generations

We want to thank Jeroen, Mariette, Karel, Doris and Douwe for the 10 days they spend in our tiny home. 10 days felt like 20, because there was no pause. Even though, we were so many, everything went smoothly. Sharaï and Eléa had a blast playing with Karel, Doris and Douwe. They could also practice their english. Mariette was a steady help for my wife, especially for the corn planting (which is out of the soil now). Jeroen helped so much making concrete, bringing stones and soil to the wall project in front of our house. We sadly couldn't finish, but it advanced a lot. And I enjoyed the last day when we went to the waterfall and had our farewell dinner with everyone. Thank you again for the amazing time. Caspar, Jyoti, Sharaï and Eléa.

On our trip through Asia with our family of 5 (children aged 11,9 and 7) we spent 10 days on the farm of Casper and his family. It was an unforgettable experience. Taking part of the Nepali every day farmlife, cooking and eating local food, highly fullfilling farm chores, amazing hikes and views (although we had some foggy days), but most of all an incredibly welcoming family, that felt like friends. If you get the opportunity we would highly encourage to go here (again)!!

Giulia was a very big help at our shelter! She carried all the tasks very well and communicated beautifully with our team and the rest of the volunteers. She got a cold while she was volunteering with us and even then she did her best not to let the team down, working through it. She also opened her home for one of our cats. She connected with our Bella from day one and decided to not leave her behind. We were very happy to have her here and looking forward to having her again in the future.

Volunteering with NGO alongside G, Lysh, and Ruth was a really meaningful experience. The project is centered around community, sustainability, and intentional living in connection with nature and that is definitely reflected throughout the experience. I was there for 2 weeks at the beginning of March with my cousin and would have stayed longer if we didn’t already have onward travel booked. It’s somewhere I would love to return to and I’m excited to see how it continues to grow. From the beginning, especially knowing that we were some of the first volunteers, I was impressed with the communication and organization. Tasks were clearly communicated. The work didn’t feel like work, it was genuinely enjoyable and varied! I even learned a few new skills along the way! I helped with installing mosquito netting, cleaning, painting, transplanting plants, general maintenance, and shopping for fresh produce (while getting to practice Spanish!) The tasks felt purposeful, and the days were well balanced with time to relax and enjoy the space and surrounding area. There were also opportunities to connect with the local community including visiting a nearby farm and helping with market held at the NGO space. I took part in both the Seed to Seed and the Life Diet workshops, which added a really meaningful layer to the experience. I learned about how food is grown, harvested, and returned back to the earth, and how our choices impact our bodies and the environment as a whole. It brought a deeper awareness to how everything is connected and how small, intentional choices can make a difference. I highly recommend these workshops! It’s clear that a lot of thought and intention has gone into not just the space itself, but the bigger vision of what they’re creating and the kind of community they’re building. What they’re creating feels really beautiful and special. G, Ruth, and Lysh are inspiring people to be around, and bring a really positive presence. I felt comfortable right away and it didn’t take long to feel at home. The food deserves its own mention. Everything was plant based, full of flavour, creative, and honestly some of the best meals I’ve ever had. It’s shifted how I see plant based eating. One of the most impactful parts of this experience was how it shifted my perspective. It made me rethink how I want to live let go of habits and ways of thinking that didn’t feel aligned. The conversations, environment, and slower pace of daily life created space to reflect. That shift is something I’ll carry with me. If you come with an open mind and a willingness to be a part of the flow, you’ll get a lot out of this experience. Thank you G, Ruth, and Lysh (and of course sweet Pinto, Luzy, and Shadow for the cuddles and playing.) <3 I will forever be grateful for this opportunity.

Dear Wouter and Sabine, I stayed with you for three weeks, and it was a truly beautiful experience. Sleeping in the caravan was something special—I still miss those nights. I carry a very warm connection with Owin in my heart; I can still hear his little feet on the balcony. What stayed with me just as much were our conversations—long, thoughtful evenings about childhood, the world, and meaning. You are both deeply intellectual and spiritual, and I found that incredibly inspiring. I truly admire how you follow your vision and live your dream with such honesty. I always felt supported and seen. Your openness and direct communication made it easy to feel comfortable and to find my own rhythm in the work. And I’m so grateful for the work itself - I loved the mix of building, digging, cooking, and cleaning. And Sabine, your cooking… just wow. Nourishing, generous, and full of love. Thank you for everything. I warmly recommend staying with you. With gratitude, Sophie

Mel and Geoff were incredibly hospitable hosts who went out of their way to look after me during a short-notice stay. They provided plenty of excellent food, much of it harvested directly from their own garden, and made a point of introducing me to their family and friends, which I really loved. During my time at their house, I assisted with odd jobs like moving firewood and removing old fences. Mel and Geoff were very appreciative and were always on hand to assist and direct me. They were very generous with their time, with Geoff taking me for drives around the farm to see all their animals and Mel taking me on a nice walk to the Lakes Entrance. I also enjoyed walking their dog, Daisy, at sunset and seeing a koala when they took me for a picnic at the Stony Creek Trestle Bridge. They even provided a bike so I could cycle down to the beach and go for a walk in my free time. I had such a good time and can’t wait to visit again.

Hi! I stayed at Soo's house for a few days because I had to leave for work. Soo and Simon are good and kind, I did some gardening and tidying up around the house. Everything went good, thank you very much!

Sunny was an absolute pleasure to host. She came up with a thoughtful and clever idea to do a trial visit for house and pet sitting, which worked out perfectly since I needed to take a short trip at the time. From the start, she was reliable, independent, and easy to communicate with. She took excellent care of my home and my cats, and I returned to a clean, well-kept space. Sunny required very little beyond the basics (internet access, gate code, and house rules), which made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. On top of that, she went above and beyond by raking the leaves in my backyard; such a kind and unexpected gesture. She is polite, respectful, and genuinely thoughtful. I would absolutely recommend Sunny to anyone looking for a trustworthy and considerate Workaway volunteer.

I absolutely loved my time here. I highly recommend this Workaway to anyone who is looking for a community experience and interested in learning to create a sustainable lifestyle in harmony with nature. I felt very welcome and comfortable during my stay. I was there 3 weeks and would have stayed longer if I didn't have other travel plans. I enjoyed the work I did during my time here. We did a variety of tasks from painting, to pressure washing, general cleaning, planting, caring for the animals and helping out at the Saturday market etc. The mix of tasks kept things interesting and I learned lots of new skills during it. It was also nice to work with other volunteers. I liked that they would thoroughly explain each task before getting started so we knew exactly what to do. The group always had really clear communication which I very appreciated. Some of my highlights: THE FOOD. Every meal was incredibly delicious and nourishing! The in-depth conversations we’d get into after dinner. Group outings, cuddles with the pups and Pinto (the cat). And the ecstatic dance!! I did their workshops during my stay - the Seed to Seed Cycle and the Life Diet. These workshops offered valuable knowledge that I can use for the rest of my life. I left this Workaway taking with me so much more than I imagined - this experience was personally expansive and invaluable. Such an inspiring group of people and I think it’s beautiful the community they are building. Thanks Ruth, lysh and G :)

What a delightful couple to have for 2 weeks of 'not that exciting' work but they were always keen and up for everything. We would very much recommend Hannah and Simon as the perfect workaways.
