We were very pleased with Valentina's Eight-weeks stay with us. She always worked hard, was punctual and learnt new tasks very quickly. She was always looking for ways in which she could help and was willing to take on anything we asked her to do. As I come to my last day here, I want to say that my stay of a bit over two months was incredible.

• KC and Ramai, who are the Farm and volunteer managers are beautiful human beings. They genuinely do everything that’s in their hands to make us feel welcome and at home. Every time some type of challenge raised, they were there to help solve it to the best of their knowledge and ability, with the best intentions, which I truly appreciated. Given there are many volunteers and the place is big, naturally a lot of activities are going on: if you need anything I’d say just talk to them, they are very understanding and kind.
• At the farm, we planted and harvested, along with many other activities. I came to learn about their spiritual practices and project management of the farm, but I’m leaving with much more than that: new friendships, knowledge, and a completely different outlook on key topics in life, such as daily routine and honoring Mother Earth and its creatures. I will be forever grateful for that.
Thank you Ramai, KC, garden managers, all the volunteers I shared time and laughs with, and everyone involved who makes this beautiful place work.

One of the most enriching experiences I have ever had. It has been very special in all areas, from the place to all the beings that you find there, speaking of everyone, as part of the staff, the other volunteers and of course the animals that you find around since it is a natural environment .
The work on the farm is dynamic and varied, so you
… read more will always have something different to do, there are also days where you can experiment in the gardens and others in Goshala sharing with the cows and bulls.
The facilities are comfortable and you have leisure and recreation spaces, and you can also join the yoga classes that began to be taught recently; and you will always have something to eat. And if for any reason you feel like you need something, let the managers know that they will be happy to help you make you feel at home.
You will have the opportunity to tour the Sanctuary and visit the beautiful Temple, while you will be able to participate in the different events and festivities that take place there, learning closely about this philosophy of spiritual life, where the staff will gladly answer any questions you may have.
The best of all has been the beautiful relationships and family you create.
Thank you KC, thank you Ramai, thank you beautiful family. Hare Krishna :)
Hare Krishna to everyone! And Hare Krishna to Ramai, KC and Achyuta! :)

If you are a spiritual seeker there are many opportunities available for you at the manor. There are tons of people to meet and a very special and unique culture to learn about called Krishna Consciousness. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions at all. I was here for about three months and I am returning in September for another three month stay at the temple and I can't wait!
Like I said this place changed my life, I only wish I had come here sooner!
Thank you! Haribol!

My days on the temple farm were very good. Work activities are diverse: weeding the land, making plant seedlings (sowing), planting seedlings, watering plants, harvesting plants, working in the Temple garden, among other activities that covers a farm. In addition, there is the work of cleaning the bathrooms and the common space, the kitchen, which
… read more are divided among volunteers. The common spaces are undergoing improvements, so for the new volunteers, they will surely find an even more pleasant place. Now it has a kitchen, with living room, TV and a games table.
Another very good experience was being able to take yoga classes with an Indian professional. In my last week, this activity started and I had time to enjoy a little.
On my days off, I have been to London a few times, and it is very easy to arrive, with a travel time of 1h30. Leaving the farm is also easy, with 15 minutes walk, has a bus stop that leads to the city of Watford.
It was a very rich experience culturally, to be able to know the Hare Krishna religion and be close, living together. I am very grateful that I have lived this. And all my work has been thinking about doing the best for Kṛiṣhṇa. I am very grateful to Ramai for having received me. I am also very grateful to all the Temple people I met, who talked from time to time in the lunch line. If you’re open and willing, you can meet lots of nice people and learn things beyond your job.

In general I liked my experience there. All the staff of the temple is really kind, i met Nice volunteers, and i felt like I was in India sometimes with the the food, the krishna prayers.
In the winter I think 2 weeks or 3 weeks is enough because not a lot of work to do. Maybe in summer it's more Interesting to stay longer because of their big

In the winter it's okay if you like free Time, or if you take the intiatives to help with the cows, in the kitchen, if you want to learn about Krishna..... to make the expérience more Interesting, because we don't learn a lot about gardening ( even the gardeners are Really Nice ) ..
They are supposed to improve the place for the volunteers. I wish they will because if you like well cleanned and organised place, for the moment it's not like that. The caravan to sleep are okay but the living room is not Really welcomed..... I think they need a better organisation to maintain this place.. so volunteers need to be very responsible if they want to keep the place not that dirty.Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.

I couldn't describe enough how amazing my time at the farm was. My experience at the Manor was very good. I was there for a month, in November.
Worst of all, without a doubt, the accommodation. The volunteers were in caravans. The caravans are large and comfortable, the problem was the organization:
There were four rooms in the male caravan. Two rooms were reserved for two residents, and the other two rooms

On the other hand, everything was really good.
- The vegetarian food (Prasadam) was wonderful and varied.
- You will meet friendly and nice people. And if you are interested in learning about the Hare Krishna movement, there are people who are happy to tell you all about it.
- In November, we had the opportunity to see the festivals and were amazing.

If you love the countryside, this is the best place. The Manor was my first stop and I definiteely recommend this place. I spent 3 entire months during the summertime and learned a lot. Sowing seeds, planting, watering, harvesting, selling the vegetables on Sunday, milking the cows and especially driving the tractor (this was the nicest hahaha).
The farm is quite big and I helped to grow a nice variety of vegetables: cucamber, beetroots, cabbage, corn, spinach, squashes, tomatoes, potatoes, kale, beans... etc.
I stayed in a cosy caravan with lovely others girls, where we had a wonderful time. Once in a while, we used to make a small bonfire at the end of the day with some tea and nice talks (which was a good moment to improve our English and know more about each other).
The temple’s food is amazing! As they offer it to Krishna, they call it prasadam,
and I really loved it.
To walk to the temple, It takes about 10 to 15 minutes, which is a nice walk among the green fields where I recommend to go barefoot and grab some berries on your way. Youll meet some cows grazing some grass and enjoying the hot weather. No need to feel scared: they are always happy and won't cause you any harm :)
The managers were increadbly nice. KC is a person with a big heart. A heart full of patience also, which was required whenever there was a new wwoofer to teach everything again and again. He used to give us the instructions and teach us how to do the tasks in a very calm and patient way, always laughing when we did something wrong. JK, Madam and Pradeep are very nice as well, always available to help us whenever we needed (in my case, with extra fruits).
If you are also interested in spirituality, you can attend the temple programme, either early morning or after work. I started to go to Mangala Arati at 4h30am and also the philosophy lectures before breakfast and felt so recharged and fullfiled that I hardly ever missed a day.
I didn't know anything about this movement before, but I got to know the most amazing people I've ever met and ended up partipating in many nice events such as: Rathayatra, Janmashtami, Radhashtami, Jahnavi Harrison concert, Radhanath Swami's lecture, special kirtans every Wednesdays and finally the Bhaktin Course. This is a 3 month residential course for those ladies who are interested to know more about the HK movement and its philosophy. So I left the farm to come to the temple itself and here I am now until November.
It's impressive how people are welcoming, kind and happy to help you in whatever you need. For them, It's much more about giving then receiving. Also, abundance is a nice word to describe what I've seen here since I came.
In this special place I have also heard this beautiful saying that I'll always keep in mind: “Simple living, high thinking.”
I really hope to come back soon to this lovely farm.

I spent three weeks here during August last year and it felt too short. It was a great experience.

There were many volunteers from different nationalities and we all got along. Making friends was easy. We would hang out after work to chat, play ping pong and sometimes even gather around a bonfire. It was really idyllic.
The Hare Krishna embrace all kinds of faiths. For those concerned with being overwhelmed by a religion that is not their own, I say don't worry. They don't impose their beliefs on you. If you want to know more about their faith, just ask, they are always happy to teach you. You can even go to the temple in the morning and chant with them. It is really interesting.
We slept in tents, so it's kind of like camping. However, there is a big common room with couches and a kitchen, where we spent most of our time.
I found the food to be very good, but if you decide you go to the manor, be ready to become an adventurous eater. It might be a bit spicy sometimes, but you get used to it. I really missed those bhajis I got to eat when I went back to my student diet.
All in all, it was a great experience, a real eye-opener. I would go back in a second.
