Beschreibung

Hey, I'm Marcell from Hungary. For a long time I have been planning to travel around Latin America, and now finally the time has come. I've quit my job and decided to take my backpack, nothing else to discover the culture, nature, gastronomy and the people from the south of Chile to the north of Mexico. I fly to Bolivia in the end of October (2023) to discover this amazing country and then continue to Chile. I would be happy to find similar souls and share at least parts of my trip travelling with others, I think that's an amazing experience!

It's hard to describe myself with one profession, as I've been in many different roles through the years. Still, there is one thing I cannot escape, my desire to travel, to see, experience and get to know the world. As many of the travellers, I also enjoy meeting new people, hearing the unique stories everyone has, understanding the different perspectives. Throughout my journeys I've met amazing people, gained lifelong friends and created crazy stories that one day my grandchildren will be hearing until they get bored by it!

Originally, I'm an animal behaviour biologist/ecologist. I've have always been fascinated by the living creatures we share our planet with, and I try to help conservation organizations with my work and time. I've been to the Peruvian and Mexican rainforests to volunteer in projects related to the conservation of parrots and other endangered species. However, as I realized that our planet needs help in many areas of life, I've decided to become a science communicator, someone who bridges the gap between science and the public by storytelling, content creation, social media, journalism, public speaking, photography and videography. This is something I would like to continue meanwhile travelling as well and give visibility to the projects and people that are important.

Overall, I just want to be a good person and I want to help wherever I can.

Other than the skills mentioned above I've been working in project management for large EU research and innovation projects, especially on the side of communications, I've been working with animals in zoos, in hostels as a volunteer, in conservation projects, in a bistro and so on... it's pretty hard to even remember everything.

I guess I can help you with whatever you need, even if I don't know something, I'm a fast learner and hard worker.

In my trip, I have some key areas that I would like to explore:
- 🌄Nature: hiking, adventure, jungles and mountains, rivers and sea, give me all.
- 🎉Culture: I'm fascinated by the Latin culture and the history of the area. I want to learn from the locals, I want to understand their way of life, customs and celebrations...
