Description
We like to live in harmony with nature and are dedicated to yogic and eastern practices as well as curanderismo and healing with the plants.
After years of travelling the world together we fell in love with the breathtaking beauty of Osa peninsula and settled in this area. We built our wellness lodge "El Templo de los Guacamayos del Tigre”, in a small gold mining town, Dos Brazos de Rio Tigre 14 km from Puerto Jimenez right next to the world-renowned Corcovado National Park on the Osa Peninsula, one of the most important and biodiverse ecosystems on the planet. Therefore we ask our dear volunteers to use natural and biodegradable products.
Besides receiving guests from all of the world we are working towards being self-sufficient. There are many fruit trees, pineapple field as well as a large green house in the land.

Volunteers will have a first hand experience of the rainforest and wildlife of the Osa Peninsula and Corcovado Park, one of the most biodiverse places on earth.
They will learn to live in harmony with nature, learn some permaculture and gardening skills.
Volunteers will have a great space to practice yoga, chi gong and meditation.
They will also meet travellers from all over the world and connect and socialise with the guests.Aide
We are seeking volunteers who enjoy spending time in nature and connecting with the Mother Earth. Responsibilities include welcoming guests, preparing their accommodations, and maintaining and cleaning the guesthouse rooms, kitchen and living area, yoga shala, and compost toilets. Knowledge of permaculture and gardening would be advantageous, as there is plenty of work in the garden, from planting flowers to creating additional raised beds for growing food. Occasionally, there will be small construction and carpentry projects as well.

Volunteers will each have their own bed in a 6-bed open-air mixed dormitory, all equipped with good mosquito nets. There are racks and wardrobes for everyone to share. Additionally, a secure locker room is available for personal belongings. The facilities include 4 shared compost toilets, 3 shared bamboo showers with a triskele design (cold water), 1 shared bath/shower (cold water), a fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area, a sitting area at the back of the guest house, a yogashala, and plenty of hammocks to relax in. The beautiful Rio Tigre is accessible from our backyard, allowing volunteers to cool off during their breaks.
We provide a welcome food package including tea, coffee, eggs, rice, beans, legumes, garlic, and onion, and continue to supply the basics throughout your stay (rice and legumes). If you prefer a wider variety of food, you can purchase supplies from the small stores in Dos Brazos or the larger supermarkets in Puerto Jimenez. You can catch a local bus daily (except Sunday) to get to town, or opt for a private taxi.
