I spent two weeks here and would have loved to have stayed longer. Being my first work away, I had very little idea of what to expect. However, everyone was friendly, understanding and helpful. Much of the work consisted of gardening and taking care of the various animals, including taking Siri (one of the dogs) for as many walks in the day as

The family and other Workwayers were fun to be around. In addition. Indeed, they were godsends when I got very sick. They were not only accommodating but helped me recover as well. On top of that, they were great teachers. Jackie did a good job of explaining what needed doing. Joe told me about the area and swapped stories. And Kaden told me about the local area and the best places to play a game of manhunt. Next time I'm in the Carmarthen area I hope you guys have an opening because I would love to see you all again.

We spent nearly three months at Pibwrn’s mill and it’s been a really great experience.
We arrived in a moment of change for the family, yet we immediately felt welcomed by everyone (despite us sometimes being a bit chaotic and occasionally throwing pancakes on the kitchen floor :)) ).
Jackie has a very communicative energy, she’s an open minded
… read more and creative person and keeps her days busy, so we liked feeling helpful with the daily work. Every week she’d bring us with her to badminton and choir and we had good times together. We also enjoyed the game nights with all the family as well as the trips to Bath and Bristol.
Joe and Ffion were always good fun and friendly towards us, Joe made us discover the area and was always eager to bring us with him around the castles and the awesome wild beaches on the week-ends. We had cool experiences like going to our first musical with them as well as sharing good food. Both of you are rockstars, we’re thankful we had the chance to see your work at the tattoo shop as well as getting our own tattoos. They’re fully healed now and they look sooo good. Thank you so much again.
And of course there's Marc the DJ super cook, Elsie, Kayds and Cai. We're glad we got to meet you all. You guys made our trip to Wales amazing. Did cawl for the family last week, I’m happy that’s something I could learn from you Els’ and I think we’ll keep doing it every now and then :)
As for the work, the house is lovely as well as busy, so you won’t get bored. There always were a lot of different jobs to do around, but you'll only be asked to do the things you're comfortable doing. We enjoyed taking care of Suri (the dog) and the horses while learning new skills like painting, gardening or cooking different recipes.
I hope everyone’s well, you guys take care. Wish you all the best for your next adventures. Hope to see you again somedays xVous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

Our work it was basically go to the yard, helping around the house, and some more jobs like walking with the dogs, cleaning the house and helping with dinner.
We spent just over 3 months with this incredible family. Even though it was a short time, we got to know a little bit about each one.
Marc is a man super excited and funny, he was the one
… read more who always brought fun home with his funny songs and his phenomenal cooking. Marc gave us unforgettable moments like surfing, montain bike and amazing beachside barbecues. Thanks for always being patient with us!
Jackie besides being horse caretaker, hairdresser, therapist and a Yoga teacher, she is an amazing woman, she was the one who welcomed us and she was on our side until we left. Thank you for always making us feel part of the family.
Elsie was our support, when we had some doubt, she helped us whenever she could, we loved her humor and the best laugh of the world, and we couldn't forget the best pancakes she brought from town.
Our dear Kayden, he is an amazing boy. No doubt he was the person who helped us the most in English. We will never forget the laughs we had with him and he always made us feel better at the end of the day.
Ffion was just amazing with us, always smiling and happy. We loved spend time with her going to the cinema and having interesting talks about the films.
Ah Joe, we miss you so much. Joe was always vey careful with us. We had the best talks with him, sharing cultural differences, visiting beautiful places. It was just amazing spending time with him.
In general, it was just an amazing experience, thank you all for everything. We wish you guys all the best! Any volunteer who wants to know more about the work please contact us.Vous pouvez seulement contacter les workawayers avec une adhésion active.

I had a wonderful time here! Definitely felt apart of the family as soon as I arrived. Marc and Jackie took great care of me...Taking me to castles, festivals, surfing, beach, and participating in yoga classes. The work consisted mainly on rebuilding the watermill which was fun to me. Marc and Jackie if you're reading this...I met Marc, Faith, and

I spent the holiday with this lovely family at Carmarthen! Jackie and Marc welcomed me as part of the family, they are very caring. I have learned so much from coming to this place and being around with them Jackie and Marc who knows so much about horses, agriculture, food and many more things.
I've just left the place and I'm already thinking
… read more about the few things I'll miss back there - the nature, Marc's amazing food, putting up poly tunnel, great company, spending time with the horses, reading Marc's many cookbooks, learning how to surf, the experience at the circus, barbecue at the beach etc:slight_smile:.
After 2 weeks from the end of my workaway, I'm appreciating even more of that experience as it's not always easy to find hosts like them.
Thank you Jackie & Marc for the great hospitality, I had an enjoyable time!
If any responsible person is interested, don't hesitate to join this family!
