Thanks again for the opportunity to meet you and stay at your beautiful spot on Bowen which is a peaceful and green Island. Teresa is lovely, sweet, warm, kind and very welcoming and she's also a great cook. Her place is an almost idyllic setting, while drinking morning coffee, we saw deers every day from our window or garden. We had our beautiful and cozy private suite with everything we needed for a perfect stay. We went to several beaches and saw sea lions too. We had a lot of interesting conversations at lunch and dinner times about animals, trees and funny talks about ourselves:)) We laughed a lot together. Our work there varied from weed whacking, lawn mowing, pruning and trimming to renewing a few wooden chairs and programming irrigation timers that were not hard at all. Teresa was flexible with us for the time of work. We were able to meet Teresa's friend, a very interesting lady who traveled a lot even to our country and she was so kind too. At the time of our stay, there was a cute dog(Roscoe) in Teresa's home and I miss him. We thoroughly enjoyed our one-week stay with Teresa. If you choose to go there, you will experience a unique place and meet a very interesting host. Love, peace 💚

Our first workaway experience at Ale and Alvaros place couldn‘t have been better! Ale & Alvaro received us very friendly und open minded & we startet to feel comfortable very quickly. They offered us a super nice private room with bathroom and a amazing view into their forest. We stayed 2 and a half weeks, working in the garden, fixing and building small fences, doing some carpentery work, painting, helping with a mosaic and also taking care of their three lovely dogs while Ale was away. Normally we shared three healthy and delicious meals a day. We enjoyed sharing our culture and thoughts and also visiting other places on the weekend. Ale offered a every day yoga morning session we loved to join. The place is super calm and beautiful to enjoy. Truly we can recommend this place for everyone who is interested in recharging their batteries at this peaceful place while working outside, sharing meals and cultures with the such kind people!! It has been a great journey with my new friends Beth and Ross. They have helped on so many levels and tasks that it was hard to see them going. They tackled the jobs with dedication and care, from pruning, building, planting, and they excelled in decorating the new bar, from painting to charring wood and finishing touches. Beth is great with anything artistic, she left behind lovely hand writte signage for the farm and for other projects. Ross also shot a bunch of images for my art side project and kept going solid during harsh jobs. Very discreet and well educated they sticked to the house rules and brought in only good vibes, no drama. Thanks again, and hope cross paths soon, abraço!

Spending time with Djoeke and Jiske was very fun and productive. They cleared the weeds in the garden for us and planted pumpkin seedlings in the garden. Thank you again for your help. They helped me a lot with English practice, learning some words and rules. They were always ready to help, eager to spend time together, to talk and listen. We are very happy to meet each other, to have game nights and to have a meal and a drink together. If you cross paths with Djoeke and Jiske, enjoy productive work and fun :)

I spent 2 amazing weeks with Livia and her beautiful family. At the end I really wished I could stay longer! I felt super welcome since the very beginning, everyone was so friendly and made me feel at home. The kids are polite, kind, fun and respectful. Livia and Daniel are awesome and did everything to make me have a good time. I felt immediately comfortable around the house and around them! :) The house is beautiful, in a very peaceful and quiet location, surrounded by nature and animals. It's a bit far from the village but Livia can always drive you there if you want to spend some time in town or need to go to the shops. Uber/Bolt also usually work and are really cheap. There was a perfect work/rest balance, time to rest outside work and do little visits/excursions outside. The work was never too demanding and rest time is always respected. Livia cooks amazing traditional food, and I miss it already ❤️ Thank you again and hope to see you all again soon!!

Our time in Zona was so great! It was our second workaway experience and this time we really enjoyed the cultural exchange and the relation we built with our hosts (Selene, Daniel and Samuel). Selene welcomed us as her guests and really wanted us to feel at home and we did 😊 We stayed one week in the appartment where there is the agroturism activity and the restaurant. We helped in the garden, with the sheeps and a bit at the restaurant. We enjoyed each mission because the place is wonderful and Selene was often with us checking that everything was fine for us. Selene made us discovered the surroundings, organized time together with her family and friends and cooked us delicious meals! We also ate some meals of the restaurant cooked by Selene's mother and it was so good 😋 We were speaking English together but Daniel speaks also French and Spanish and we really had fun all together! We spent a wonderful 2 months at this place with Jordie, Yasmine, Nour, China, Freida, Zala, Miglio, Bilal and the chickens. Jordie and Yasmin made us feel right at home straight away and their communication was magnificent throughout our whole stay. The work was challenging at times but it was always greatly appreciated and we felt we had a great amount of rest time to relax and enjoy the amazing property and view. What we worked on most was the planting of oak trees for their truffle plantation but there was also plenty of other jobs to be done both inside and out. In our off time we enjoyed some lovely hikes around the area and went away on multiple trips to other areas around Italy from the nearby train station (Jordie and Yasmine were always very happy to facilitate dropping us off / picking us up). Nour is brilliant and we loved seeing how much she grew in the 2 months we were there. We fell in love with all of the pets who all have such sweet hearts and their own little personalities. We would definitely come back if/when in Italy again. Thank you so much Jordie and Yasmin for making our last months in Italy ones to remember! 😁

Vincent has been a great volunteer with a very pleasant, positive attitude and good people skills. He was very motivated and interested, liked all kinds of different tasks and was pretty handy, thorough and reliable with everything he did. It was a pleasure having him and we would recommend him a 100%

I had an amazing time with John and his sister Gaudance. John has many volunteering projects, and will happily take you along in whatever is going on at the moment. I stayed for 2 weeks and did some photography and videography. We also went to give away clothes to a local community and went to interview teenage girls about sanitary products that were donated to them, to create a youtube video. John is happy to show you around the area (hiking, biking...), the market in town, etc. He also organized a trip to Akagera National Park for me and another volunteer. Thank you so much for your hospitality, John. You are doing amazing work for your community!

Janice is great!. We miss here already. She was a lot of help, and good company to have around. It was a short visit unfortunately, but she's always welcome back. Safe travels my friend, JP.

Definitivamente es una parada en tu viaje de voluntariado si lo que buscas es una conexión con la naturaleza y contigo mismo, al llegar te recibe una familia y te enseña cómo es la vida actual en la región. Los días se pasan rápido trabajando y conociendo las personas que forman parte de el proyecto comunitario, cada una de ellas tiene su propia visión de la vida y es lo que hace de ese proyecto tan grandioso. Los trabajos que se pueden realizar son variados (Dependiendo de qué área necesite apoyo) y va a depender en parte también del perfil que tienes tu, o en qué te gustaría también apoyar. Las amistades que puedes crear son conexiones que no vas a olvidar y definitivamente una de las cosas más difíciles será el tener que irte, como fue mi caso y el de la voluntaria con la que compartí mi estadía. Definitivamente fue un lugar que marcó mi vida, agradezco las vivencias y el conocimiento que obtuve, espero en un futuro poder volver.

It was a pleasure to host Kirstye in my home... she was polite, very helpful and fit into the routine and life here very easily and looked after me including making a beautiful chicken stir fry YUMMY... I would have no hesitation in recommending Kirstye to future hosts... Thank you for everything and enjoy your travels , drop by for a "cup of tea" anytime you are passing !!!

Freya was an absolute delight to host. She took excellent care of our animals, showing great responsibility and compassion. Her gardening skills are impressive, and she managed all household chores efficiently and with a positive attitude. Freya is a very caring, kind, and cheerful person. Her presence is truly enjoyable, and I thoroughly enjoyed both working with her and spending time together exploring Rome. I had a wonderful experience with Freya and highly recommend her to any future hosts.

A principios de abril, fui huésped de Vanessa durante una semana. Fue mi primera experiencia de workaway ¡Y qué experiencia! Fue maravillosa Vanessa es una mujer generosa, alegre e interesante. Una anfitriona que me hizo sentir muy cómoda. Nos reímos juntos, jugamos al ajedrez, discutimos de muchas asuntos, como nuestra forma de vida, cultura y tradición en Galicia, sanidad, etc., etc., etc. El trabajo se limitó a dos días de limpieza juntos. Los demás días los pasé paseando, leyendo y relajándome. ¿Qué más se puede pedir? La casa y el jardín están a un tiro de piedra del mar. Es un sueño disfrutar del mar. Vanessa fue muy amable conmigo. Mi agradecimiento a ella por este tiempo inolvidable en Galicia. Con mucho gusto volveré a visitarla. Ella tiene un lugar en mi corazón. Recomiendo cordialmente su casa

Tuve como voluntaria a Daniela durante diez días en los que me ayudó en muchas cosas distintas, especialmente con los perritos : ) es una chica muy simpática, respetuosa y amable, no tuve el más mínimo problema con ella, por lo que la recomiendo a todos los hosts; muchas gracias por todo y buena suerte!

Pasamos un muy buen mes en la casa de Mireya y Gigi! Nos sentimos muy comodos estando en la casa. El espacio está muy lindo y tranquilo para descansar, leer, jugar o platicar :) Trabajamos en el jardín, las tareas fueron diversas y siempre se respetaron los horarios. La casa es un lugar muy calido, donde los voluntarios tienen su proprio baño y habitación! Recomendamos este voluntariado. Esperamos que nos veamos pronto :)

I really enjoyed my stay at Jakes place. He is a very hardworking and passionate person who loves to involve others in his ideas and discuss different topics. He shared many information about korean culture with us and truly was a great host to live with. The location is amazing for exploring all the gems of Seoul and very convenient to travel around. The work is very easy and, if you don't have a problem hanging out with new friendly people, the perfect place for you. You'll talk to locals and other foreigners in a comfortable environment with a chance to hang out or partying after, go on hikes, do karaoke, eat fried chicken at hanriver and so on...I will always remember my first ever Korea experience and will keep my coworkers and Jake close to heart!

Rarely do we find a volunteer who is super helpful, cheerful, efficient, open minded, punctual, responsible, caring, considerate and fun to be around. Jordi is all of this, and more. He became like a son to us. He’s extremely clever and good at problem solving and building things. He easily constructed a fence out of scrap materials that worked well to keep our dogs from running into the neighbor’s yard. Our dogs loved him. He helped us install an inverter in our van. He did yard work, helped clean out the garage, and moved heavy things from place to place. Practicing Spanish with him was really fun, and helping him improve his English was even more fun. He’s a good sport and got along well with the other volunteers. He enjoyed all kinds of food and is not a fussy eater. He left his room neat and clean. If you get a chance to host him, you would be lucky. Hope to see you in the future, Buttercup!
